A Thoughtful Approach to Legal Practice
My practice is grounded in the belief that legal advice should be clear, principled, and responsive to the realities people face in their lives and work. I aim to provide guidance that is practical, measured, and aligned with a client’s broader objectives—not just the immediate legal issue.
Background and Education
Before entering law school, I began my legal career through a more hands-on path. I completed my undergraduate studies and subsequently earned a Bachelor’s Degree in paralegal studies at Humber Polytechnic. I went on to successfully complete the paralegal licensing examination prior to enrolling in law school.
That experience provided early exposure to client-facing legal work and to the procedural realities of the justice system, shaping a pragmatic and grounded approach to legal practice.
I later completed my legal education through the Dual JD program at the University of Windsor and the University of Detroit Mercy, earning degrees in both Canadian and U.S. law. This background supports a cross-border perspective and a practical understanding of contracts, rights, and regulatory frameworks that increasingly intersect across jurisdictions.
Perspective and Motivation
I grew up in Rexdale, Ontario, in a low-income community where I witnessed firsthand how legal systems and unequal access to them can shape opportunities and outcomes. From an early age, I observed racism and discrimination affecting friends and family, not as abstract concepts, but as lived experiences with real consequences.
My interest in advocacy was further influenced by seeing my sister work with the Human Rights Tribunal, where I gained insight into how legal processes can be used to challenge discrimination and protect fundamental rights. That exposure reinforced my belief that the law, when applied thoughtfully, can be a meaningful tool for accountability and fairness.

Commitment to Creators and Businesses
My perspective has also been shaped by direct involvement in creative environments, particularly within the music industry. I have personal experience working as an artist and producer, which has provided insight into how creative work is developed, financed, and commercialized.
Through that exposure, I observed how artists and creators are often disadvantaged by imbalanced contracts, opaque deal structures, and information asymmetry. Seeing these dynamics firsthand reinforced my decision to pursue a legal practice that helps creators and businesses better understand and protect their rights, particularly where artistic, commercial, and legal considerations intersect.
Practice Philosophy
I approach each matter with an emphasis on:
- clarity over complexity
- proportionality over escalation
- preparation over reaction
Clients often seek legal advice during moments of transition or uncertainty. My role is to help them understand where they stand, what matters most, and what options are reasonably available—so they can move forward with confidence.
Professional Standing
I am licensed to practice law in the Province of Ontario.
